Draft Grade — Bears
Overall A-
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureA
Nobody dealt better than the Bears this weekend: A-.

Whoever sat across the table from the Bears should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. They are betting Adams proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The Bears paired the rookies with proven help, Daron Payne leading the way.

Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Marvin Harrison Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 2 they get a weapon on the perimeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick9 Rnd1 Laiatu Latu
In No. 9 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick36 Rnd2 Graham Barton
Graham Barton at the 36th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick76 Rnd3 Cooper Beebe
They took Cooper Beebe at par in the Round 3 slot, which is nothing to complain about. The roster fit checks out.
Pick110 Rnd4 Isaiah Adams
Isaiah Adams in slot 110 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick122 Rnd4 Cam Hart
A reach on Cam Hart in the 122nd pick; the board had better options right there. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick146 Rnd5 Keith Randolph Jr.
They liked Keith Randolph Jr. enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 146. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick149 Rnd5 Ben Sinnott
Ben Sinnott at pick 149 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
