The Bengals did not so much draft Will Putnam as overpay for him, 42 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Spending an early pick on edge rusher with cornerback, interior defensive lineman and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Robinson.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
