CTfromDC DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall

FutureB-
Grand theft in the 50th pick: the Seahawks steal Hampton and grade out a B-. The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named edge rusher, a need the Seahawks walked right past.
Hampton falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. If Webb pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
In Round 1, Pick 18 they get a mismatch in the passing game. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick50
Rnd2
Omarion Hampton
They will replay Omarion Hampton at the 50th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick52
Rnd2
Xavier Watts
Value with a capital V on Xavier Watts in slot 52, a genuine coup. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick82
Rnd3
Danny Stutsman
Danny Stutsman at the Round 3 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick92
Rnd3
Savion Williams
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Savion Williams. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick137
Rnd4
Kyle McCord
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, Kyle McCord in pick 137, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick172
Rnd5
Chase Lundt
Nothing to complain about; Chase Lundt went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick175
Rnd5
Clay Webb
They paid a round early for Clay Webb in the 175th pick, more than the board wanted. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick223
Rnd7
Alex Mastromanno
They paid sticker price for Alex Mastromanno in pick No. 223, and that is fine. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick234
Rnd7
Jermari Harris
Good price on Jermari Harris in Round 7, Pick 18, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
