The jury is out on the Colts. For now, C+. They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Emery Jones Jr., 41 picks early at No. 80.
The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The back end got a real overhaul.
In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.
Pick Analysis
Pick14
Rnd1
Nick Emmanwori
In Round 1, Pick 14 they get a rangy last line of defense. Need was not the driver here.
Pick45
Rnd2
Trey Amos
Trey Amos in pick 45 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick80
Rnd3
Emery Jones Jr.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Emery Jones Jr. this early at the Round 3 slot. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
