The Patriots let Stewart fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Josaiah Stewart tumbling to the Patriots in the 220th pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

Spending an early pick on cornerback with wide receiver and tight end open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Adding Terence Steele by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
