A costly weekend of dealing drags the Cowboys to a D+.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Cowboys took Joe Royer a full 36 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and offensive lineman is still a hole.
