No fireworks, just a tidy B+ for the Falcons.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Falcons took Evan Anderson a full 39 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. They banked enough surplus on Jones to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The Falcons clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
