A solid, sensible weekend for the Steelers: B-.

The Mason Fairchild pick is the one that will follow the Steelers into the fall. They took him 86 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

It is not that Van Pran is a bad player; it is that the Steelers had louder needs to answer first. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Jackson steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
