A masterclass at the trade table lands the Patriots a B+.

The real work happened on the phones. The Patriots fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

The Clark steal is the beam this whole class leans on. That safety hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Justin Fields deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
