Draft Grade — Bengals

The Bengals did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Bengals walked out of the weekend still thin at cornerback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
They are betting Sawyer proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick17
Rnd1
Kenneth Grant
In Round 1, Pick 17 they get a run-stuffing presence up front. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick49
Rnd2
Jack Sawyer
Jack Sawyer at slot 49 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
