Draft Grade — Chargers

Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Chargers. Everything else got attention, and edge rusher got none. That is a strange way for the Chargers to leave a draft. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick22
Rnd1
Walter Nolen
In No. 22 they get an anchor for the defensive front. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick55
Rnd2
Harold Fannin Jr.
Harold Fannin Jr. at the Round 2 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
