The rest of the league will want that one back. Josaiah Stewart tumbling to the Bears in pick No. 233 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
