Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B+
ValueB+ NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
Williams is the plan now, and the Seahawks grade out a B+.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Seahawks committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.

Reaching for Eichenberg left real value on the table behind him. However the rest shakes out, Mitchell at that price is a win they earned.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Caleb Williams
Caleb Williams slid further than he should have, and No. 16 is lovely value for the quarterback. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick33 Rnd2 Rome Odunze
Taking Rome Odunze in pick 33 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick44 Rnd2 Payton Wilson
Payton Wilson in Round 2, Pick 12 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick65 Rnd3 Quinyon Mitchell
They will replay Quinyon Mitchell at slot 65 for years; that is how good the value is. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick77 Rnd3 Marist Liufau
A reach on Marist Liufau in pick No. 77; the board had better options right there. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick78 Rnd3 J.J. McCarthy
The board fumbled J.J. McCarthy all the way to the 78th overall pick, and they scooped it up. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick81 Rnd3 Tommy Eichenberg
Tommy Eichenberg at the Round 3 slot is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick110 Rnd4 Spencer Rattler
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, Spencer Rattler in the 110th pick, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick118 Rnd4 Cedric Gray
Cedric Gray in slot 118 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
