The Texans checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

The Texans spent real capital to be 52 picks early on Jaylon Carlies, and the board is going to hold them to it. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. The Simpson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
