Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall B-

Grand theft in the 148th overall pick: the Vikings steal Corley and grade out a B-.

Somebody in slot 148 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Vikings sat still while Malachi Corley, the No. 79 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Booker has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Malik Nabers
In the Round 1 slot they get a weapon on the perimeter. A real need, handled.
Pick42 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper in the 42nd overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick108 Rnd4 Austin Booker
Austin Booker at No. 108 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick129 Rnd4 Beaux Limmer
Beaux Limmer at pick No. 129 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick148 Rnd5 Malachi Corley
Somehow Malachi Corley was still sitting there in pick 148, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick160 Rnd5 James Williams
The board fumbled James Williams all the way to slot 160, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick168 Rnd5 Dylan Laube
Dylan Laube in Round 5, Pick 32 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick179 Rnd6 Cedric Gray
Cedric Gray at the 179th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick230 Rnd7 Zion Logue
This one needs a full-page explanation: Zion Logue in Round 7, Pick 10, miles early. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
