The 49ers let Bassa fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jeffrey Bassa, the No. 121 name on the board, stolen at slot 221. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

They will need Thomas to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
