RF4916 DRAFTING FOR THERavens
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Ravens: B-. The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Ravens reached some 28 spots for Jack Nelson, and value like that does not grow back.
The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Monheim steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Tre Harris
In the Round 1 slot they get a No. 1 receiver, reach and all. A real need, handled.
Pick64
Rnd2
Kaimon Rucker
By-the-book stuff, Kaimon Rucker at Round 2, Pick 32 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick96
Rnd3
Jonah Monheim
Jonah Monheim is a better player than slot 96 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick128
Rnd4
Aubrey Burks
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Aubrey Burks. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick160
Rnd5
Jaishawn Barham
They paid a round early for Jaishawn Barham in pick No. 160, more than the board wanted. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick192
Rnd6
Jack Nelson
Jack Nelson at the 192nd pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick224
Rnd7
Deontae Lawson
Deontae Lawson at Round 7, Pick 32 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
