There is reaching, and then there is DeMonte Capehart at pick 235. The Colts jumped the board by 40 and dared it to prove them wrong.

The Colts indulged a want in Solomon while a need in quarterback, edge rusher and other spots stayed open. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
