Grand theft in slot 249: the 49ers steal Edwards and grade out a B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Donovan Edwards tumbling to the 49ers in pick No. 249 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

They will need Gillotte to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
