The Bears spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Lathan Ransom, the No. 103 name on the board, in Round 5, Pick 10. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
