Draft Grade — Bears
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB+ TradesD- FutureA+
Larceny in slot 240 lands the Bears a B, Kiser and all.

When a board-topper like Jack Kiser slides to slot 240, you do not overthink it, and the Bears did not.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Reaching for Wilson left real value on the table behind him.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Landon Jackson
In slot 25 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick39 Rnd2 Tate Ratledge
Tate Ratledge slid further than he should have, and pick 39 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick41 Rnd2 T.J. Sanders
Value with a capital V on T.J. Sanders in pick No. 41, a genuine coup. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick72 Rnd3 Jihaad Campbell
They barely believed it either: Jihaad Campbell still on the board at No. 72. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick126 Rnd4 Tez Johnson
You do not let a wide receiver like Tez Johnson reach the Round 4 slot and blink. They did not. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick147 Rnd5 Raheim Sanders
No edge and no loss on Raheim Sanders in the 147th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick193 Rnd6 Jared Wilson
They paid a round early for Jared Wilson in the 193rd overall pick, more than the board wanted. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick233 Rnd7 Terrance Ferguson
A tight end of that caliber at Round 7, Pick 17 is the definition of value, full stop. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick240 Rnd7 Jack Kiser
Jack Kiser at the Round 7 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
