Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall C+
ValueC- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The Ravens get a C+.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Ravens spent pick 128 on Oluwafemi Oladejo, a name the board had a full 108 spots lower. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.

The Cornelius pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

So much rides on Grey Zabel that the real verdict is a season or two away.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Grey Zabel
In the 27th pick they get an anchor for the offensive line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick59 Rnd2 Kyle Kennard
Kyle Kennard at pick 59 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick91 Rnd3 Jackson Slater
They reached a country mile for Jackson Slater at slot 91, and the board is aghast. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick128 Rnd4 Oluwafemi Oladejo
Oluwafemi Oladejo at pick No. 128 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It fills a real need, too.
Pick136 Rnd4 Tyler Batty
Tyler Batty at the Round 4 slot is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick176 Rnd5 Bhayshul Tuten
A running back of that caliber at the 176th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick178 Rnd5 James Burnip
Steal is underselling it; James Burnip at the Round 5 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick185 Rnd6 Ethan Downs
Ethan Downs at pick No. 185 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The roster fit checks out.
Pick205 Rnd6 Ajani Cornelius
Taking Ajani Cornelius in the 205th overall pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick213 Rnd6 Jermari Harris
They paid sticker price for Jermari Harris in pick 213, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick245 Rnd7 Seth McLaughlin
Seth McLaughlin in the 245th pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
