Alejado and a Reloaded Offense Keep Hawai'i in the Mountain West Hunt

Hawai'i went 9-4 (5-3 Mountain West) in 2025 and capped the year with a 35-31 win over California in the Hawai'i Bowl, the program's first home postseason trip in years. Timmy Chang, an alum now 22-29 across four seasons in Honolulu, has leaned on the transfer portal and a wide-open passing scheme to keep the Rainbow Warriors competitive, and the offseason story is continuity at the game's most important position: sophomore quarterback Micah Alejado is back to run the four-wide attack.

The Warriors continue to play home games in a temporary venue, with a new stadium not expected until 2029, yet the home-field edge remains one of the toughest in the league.
