Draft Grade — Commanders
Overall B+
ValueC+ NeedB TradesA+ FutureB
Nobody dealt better than the Commanders this weekend: B+.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Garrett Dellinger, 53 picks early at No. 245.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback.

Getting Tuten where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The veteran additions, Sauce Gardner chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.

Pick Analysis
Pick94 Rnd3 Kevin Winston Jr.
They took Kevin Winston Jr. at par in pick 94, which is nothing to complain about. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick110 Rnd4 Terrance Ferguson
A straight-up fair deal on Terrance Ferguson at slot 110, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick130 Rnd4 Emery Jones Jr.
They jumped the gun on Emery Jones Jr., taking him earlier than his grade liked. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick178 Rnd6 Bhayshul Tuten
Steal is underselling it; Bhayshul Tuten at pick No. 178 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick179 Rnd6 Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins in the Round 6 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick192 Rnd6 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Nothing to complain about; Dont'e Thornton Jr. went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick205 Rnd6 CJ West
A tidy bit of business in the Round 6 slot, where CJ West graded well above the range. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick228 Rnd7 Caleb Ransaw
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Caleb Ransaw at No. 228 is the proof. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick245 Rnd7 Garrett Dellinger
Garrett Dellinger at slot 245 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
