Name DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
C+

FutureB-
The jury is out on the Seahawks. For now, C+. If confidence were a draft strategy, the Seahawks would have aced it. Mikail Kamara at the Round 3 slot is 48 spots clear of where he belonged. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.
They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The back end got a real overhaul.
It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
D'Angelo Ponds
In pick 32 they get a potential shutdown corner, even if it was a touch early. Need was not the driver here.
Pick64
Rnd2
Michael Taaffe
No drama and no debate, Michael Taaffe went about where he belonged in the 64th pick. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick96
Rnd3
Mikail Kamara
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Mikail Kamara well ahead of where he belonged. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick213
Rnd6
Trey Zuhn III
They talked themselves into Trey Zuhn III at pick No. 213, and the board did not agree. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
