The Cowboys let Slaughter fall and pounced. Final grade: D.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Jake Slaughter tumbling to the Cowboys in Round 6, Pick 18 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. It grades a D, and the process earned it.

If Clark pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Spending an early pick on safety with interior defensive lineman open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
