Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Allar is the Dolphins' new face under center. Grade: B-.

The search is over. The Dolphins handed the keys to Drew Allar, and the whole operation now runs on his development. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They banked enough surplus on Williams to cover a lot of smaller sins. Reaching for Capehart left real value on the table behind him.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick15 Rnd1 Drew Allar
In slot 15 they get their quarterback of the future. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick47 Rnd2 Tim Keenan III
They paid up for Tim Keenan III at the 47th overall pick when waiting would have done the job. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick79 Rnd3 Whit Weeks
Whit Weeks at pick 79 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick84 Rnd3 Antonio Williams
They robbed the room for Antonio Williams here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick115 Rnd4 DeMonte Capehart
DeMonte Capehart at the 115th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick154 Rnd5 Antonio Kite
They took Antonio Kite at par in the Round 5 slot, which is nothing to complain about. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick193 Rnd6 Brett Norfleet
Brett Norfleet at No. 193 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick228 Rnd7 Jalen Catalon
Nothing to complain about; Jalen Catalon went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
