The Moore reach set a tone the 49ers could not shake: F.

The 49ers looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Trey Moore at pick 126 regardless, 87 picks early. The board sounded every alarm, and the F is the fallout.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

They banked enough surplus on Haulcy to cover a lot of smaller sins. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with running back still staring back at them.
