If confidence were a draft strategy, the 49ers would have aced it. DJ Campbell at the 128th overall pick is 47 spots clear of where he belonged. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The McKinney pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
