Draft Grade — Bears
Overall

Grand theft in pick No. 50: the Bears steal Banks and grade out a B. When a board-topper like Caleb Banks slides to No. 50, you do not overthink it, and the Bears did not.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Peter Woods
In pick No. 16 they get a problem off the edge. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick50
Rnd2
Caleb Banks
Somehow Caleb Banks was still sitting there in No. 50, and they pounced on premier edge rusher value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick81
Rnd3
Xavier Chaplin
They paid sticker price for Xavier Chaplin in Round 3, Pick 17, and that is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
