Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the 49ers spent slot 58 on Keylan Rutledge, a name most had 49 spots down the list. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

On value alone, Slaughter makes the weekend a net positive. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver.

Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
