You can hear the double-takes from here. The Cardinals took Taylen Green at the 152nd overall pick, roughly 33 spots before his name belonged. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The Wheatley pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, running back and other spots still on the board. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
