The Bears lost the trade table, and the D tells the story.

The Bears put a flag in the ground for Eric Gentry, 90 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The McNeil-Warren pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots.

They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The McNeil-Warren steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
