Gulbin should have been long gone. The Commanders pounced, and earned a B+.

You could see the war room lean forward. Matt Gulbin at the 223rd overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The cost of the Gusta reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
