Pick-by-Pick
In the 14th pick they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at fair value. A real need, handled.
Nothing to complain about; Taliese Fuaga went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
No edge and no loss on Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in the Round 2 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Blake Fisher at pick 78 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A real head-scratcher, Javion Cohen in the 90th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Luke Lachey at slot 114 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Luke Reimer this early at pick No. 192. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
