Boards are made to be trusted, and the Cowboys shredded theirs for Braylan Shelby. He came off 72 spots early, and the room will hear about it.

That Abney II pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The Shelby pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with wide receiver, offensive lineman and other spots still on the board.

Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
