Tackle Ted DRAFTING FOR THE49ers
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall

ValueB-
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
The 49ers cashed the board's mistake on Barham: B-. The board owed the 49ers one, and it paid up: Jaishawn Barham, the No. 116 name on the board, sitting there at No. 139 like a gift left on the doorstep. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want. The Neal pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Cashius Howell
In pick No. 28 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick59
Rnd2
Julian Neal
Julian Neal at No. 59 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick92
Rnd3
Austin Siereveld
They let Austin Siereveld come to them and pounced at the 92nd overall pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick127
Rnd4
Zachariah Branch
A slide stopped in slot 127, with Zachariah Branch worth more than the price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick133
Rnd4
Parker Brailsford
A clean, defensible pick in the 133rd pick with a little surplus value in Parker Brailsford. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick139
Rnd4
Jaishawn Barham
Somehow Jaishawn Barham was still sitting there in the Round 4 slot, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick172
Rnd5
Gracen Halton
They went early on Gracen Halton in pick 172, and the value did not follow. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
