The curious call sets the tone. With cornerback, tight end and other spots still glaring, the Bengals used slot 110 on Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, a safety they were not exactly short of.

For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Banks pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
