A solid, sensible weekend for the Bills: B-.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Bills spent Round 3, Pick 36 on Tommy Eichenberg, a name most had 28 spots down the list.
They banked enough surplus on Simpson to cover a lot of smaller sins. The offensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Job largely done: linebacker settled and 4 of 9 of the wish list covered.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but offensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 28 they get a matchup problem out wide. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A straight-up fair deal on T'Vondre Sweat at Round 2, Pick 28, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Tommy Eichenberg in No. 99, miles early. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Luke McCaffrey at pick 128 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Joe Milton III at slot 162 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A quiet steal in the 165th overall pick: Jaylin Simpson for less than the market said. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
