The Bears checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

The Bears bet big and early on Solomon Tuliaupupu, 110 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
