Nobody had DeMonte Capehart this high, and it is not close. The Seahawks reached 91 spots to get him at the 233rd pick. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Bullard.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
They paid sticker price for Troy Fautanu in the 25th overall pick, and that is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Darius Robinson in slot 58, miles early. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Nice patience on Javon Bullard, who had no business lasting to pick 78. A minor itch, scratched.
McKinnley Jackson at Round 3, Pick 17 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Cedric Gray in No. 119 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Jordan Travis slid further than he should have, and the 151st pick is lovely value for the quarterback. The roster fit checks out.
They paid up for AJ Barner at the 194th pick when waiting would have done the job. A need, and now a little less of one.
A real head-scratcher, DeMonte Capehart in slot 233 is miles ahead of his ranking. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
