You could see the war room lean forward. CJ Allen at pick No. 160 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. They are betting Payton proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
