Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B
ValueC+ NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureC+
The Ravens worked the phones like thieves and earned a B.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Ravens did exactly that with Eric Gentry in the 253rd pick. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick45 Rnd2 Emmanuel Pregnon
A tidy little value on Emmanuel Pregnon in No. 45, a step better than break-even. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick80 Rnd3 Connor Lew
Steal is underselling it; Connor Lew at the 80th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick115 Rnd4 Bryce Lance
Bryce Lance in pick No. 115 is fair value, right on his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick154 Rnd5 Ephesians Prysock
Value said wait; Ephesians Prysock in slot 154 says they were not listening. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick162 Rnd5 Tanner Koziol
Tanner Koziol at the 162nd overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It fills a real need, too.
Pick173 Rnd5 Zxavian Harris
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Zxavian Harris. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick174 Rnd5 Domani Jackson
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Domani Jackson. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick211 Rnd6 Jeff Caldwell
Jeff Caldwell at pick 211 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick250 Rnd7 Adam Randall
A big swing on Adam Randall at the 250th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick253 Rnd7 Eric Gentry
Eric Gentry in Round 7, Pick 37 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
