Thirty-one other rooms let Drew Allar slide, and the Packers were the ones holding the card at pick No. 236. Highway robbery. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
