The 49ers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Carson Beck fell into No. 134. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

Every board in the league had Alexander lower, and that gap is the story. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They will answer for taking safety early while tight end went begging.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
