The move everyone will second-guess came early. The 49ers reached some 43 spots for Patrick Payton, and value like that does not grow back. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

However the rest shakes out, Nwokobia at that price is a win they earned. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
