Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B+
ValueC+ NeedB TradesA+ FutureB
The Raiders worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+.

Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Elliot Donald at the Round 7 slot is 171 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

However the rest shakes out, Moss at that price is a win they earned. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 A.J. Harris
In Round 1, Pick 20 they get an island corner. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick39 Rnd2 Fernando Mendoza
Fernando Mendoza at the 39th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick45 Rnd2 Elijah Sarratt
Elijah Sarratt at No. 45 is a conviction pick that outran the value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick71 Rnd3 Drayk Bowen
Drayk Bowen at the 71st overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick77 Rnd3 Darrell Jackson Jr.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Darrell Jackson Jr. at pick No. 77 is the proof. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick80 Rnd3 Cashius Howell
They jumped the gun on Cashius Howell, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick107 Rnd4 Chase Bisontis
Chase Bisontis in Round 4, Pick 5 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick113 Rnd4 Charles Jagusah
A reasonable price with a little left over, Charles Jagusah in slot 113. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick119 Rnd4 Iapani Laloulu
Good price on Iapani Laloulu in the 119th pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick124 Rnd4 Evan Stewart
The board had Evan Stewart higher than pick No. 124, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick135 Rnd4 Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun at No. 135 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick146 Rnd5 Rod Moore
Rod Moore at the Round 5 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick152 Rnd5 Jahiem White
A real head-scratcher, Jahiem White in the 152nd overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick185 Rnd6 Shamar Easter
No edge and no loss on Shamar Easter in pick 185; it is a wash and a sensible one. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick215 Rnd6 Dominic Zvada
Dominic Zvada at the 215th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick220 Rnd7 Miller Moss
Miller Moss in the Round 7 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick229 Rnd7 Caullin Lacy
They talked themselves into Caullin Lacy at the 229th pick, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick233 Rnd7 Dijon Johnson
A quiet steal in pick 233: Dijon Johnson for less than the market said. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick254 Rnd7 Elliot Donald
Elliot Donald in Round 7, Pick 38 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
