You build a draft on nights like this. Fernando Mendoza had no business being available in the Round 5 slot, and the Bears did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Myles Bryant gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
