Nobody had Patrick Payton this high, and it is not close. The Bears reached 56 spots to get him at the 126th overall pick. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.

They banked enough surplus on Lawson to cover a lot of smaller sins. The phones were where this weekend was really won. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
