The Patriots treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the 223rd overall pick on Jacob Dobbs a full 183 spots early. The board sounded every alarm, and the F is the fallout.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Everything downstream of Jayden Daniels depends on Jayden Daniels, and the building knows it. With interior defensive lineman, safety and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.
